I’ve joined in with a friend of mine and some other bloggers to do a segment on the first day of every month appropriately named “First Day”.
Nicole invited us to join in on her “First Day” posts so here’s mine. It’s not too exciting because a.) my real camera kicked the bucket and b.) anyone that knows me knows that I never have my phone within reach. Or earshot. Or EVER know where that thing is!
So, I found myself hurrying through my day and remembering, always after the fact, that I was supposed to be photo logging my day via my phone. And that I had left my phone in the house/car/my other overalls. Having to slow myself down to take a picture or two really made me realize how caught up I can get in my lists and that I need to learn to “play” more.

Clockwise from top left: 1. Breakfast for the Turkey; 2. Breakfast for me; 3. Diaper laundry; 4. Diaper detergent; 5. Mt. Everest; 6. Morning greenhouse watering
I can’t promise that the pile of laundry in that chair won’t be in the April First Day post. Or that it won’t be bigger than it already is. I just can’t make that promise. I’ve embraced the fact that I may never sit in that chair again.

left to right: 1. 10:30 AM and I'm finally dressed; 2. Turkey capitalizing on brother being at school by getting in some computer time

Clockwise from top: 1. Turkey and Big Brother enjoying the unseasonably warm weather; 2. Transplanting bearded irises; 3. cabbage harvest
I’ll do better about documenting my day next month. It’ll be fun to look back and see how everyone has grown and what has changed in a month.
